Cheats for
Minecraft cheating is unlike anything else on this site because the policing happens server-side. There is no publisher anti-cheat scanning your machine; there is a plugin on the server you joined, written by its community, comparing your movement and clicks against what the game permits. Grim, Vulcan, Matrix and their peers are the names that matter, and each one catches different things.
That makes the client you run less important than how you configure it. The same killaura module passes on a loosely configured survival server and gets you kicked in two swings on a hardened anarchy server. It also means the open-source side is strong here — the best-known clients publish their code, and the module lists below come straight from them.

Each of these has its own page with only the Minecraft builds that carry that feature.
Combat modules cover killaura, reach, auto-clicker with configurable CPS, and hitbox adjustments. These are the most heavily policed, because click patterns and reach distances are exactly what server anti-cheats measure.
World modules are X-ray, chest and spawner ESP, and full bright. X-ray is the oldest cheat in the game and still the most commonly banned-for on survival servers, because ore patterns in a player's mining path are trivial to audit.
Movement and utility modules — scaffold, speed, fly, no-fall, auto-totem, inventory managers and Baritone pathfinding — are the ones experienced players actually keep. Baritone in particular is a legitimate automation project with a public repository, and on servers that allow it, it is not cheating at all.
A ghost client aims to look like a vanilla client to the server: no obvious packet signatures, modules tuned to stay inside legal movement bounds, and rendering that does not leak into screen shares. They give up raw capability for plausibility.
They are the right pick if you play on a server with active staff and screen-share checks, which is standard practice on competitive PvP networks. On anarchy servers with no staff, the trade is pointless — people run everything openly.
Minecraft clients are built against a specific game version and loader. A client for 1.20 will not launch on 1.21, and a Fabric mod will not load in Forge. Every entry here lists the version and loader it needs; mismatches are the single most common reason something does not start.
Modern anti-cheats also update independently of the game, so a client that passed on a server last month can be caught this month without anything on your side changing.
FAQ
Mojang does not run a client-side anti-cheat for Java servers. Bans come from individual servers and their plugins, so a ban on one network does not affect another.
Staff on competitive servers ask suspected players to share their screen and inspect running processes and recent files. Ghost clients and cleaners exist specifically to survive that, which is its own cat-and-mouse game.
Easily, and often retroactively. Servers log mining paths; heading straight to diamonds through solid stone is obvious in an audit even if the client itself is never seen.
It is an open-source pathfinding bot. Many anarchy servers allow it outright and some competitive ones ban it. Check the server rules rather than assuming.
Several of the best-known ones publish their code, and those entries are marked Open source here. It is the one category in this catalog where you can actually read what you are about to run.
